Buffet is good for meat lover. The whole experience is very authentic Korea, where customers want to eat more valuable food and the boss tries whatever he can to prevent you from eating more. Limited 1.5 hours for cooking all your food with a complicated slow stove. And take away boxes are available if you can’t finish all the food you take. The boss only informed us to pay for the remaining food just when we were paying for food. He said 70 dollars for a small box of food. Luckily, we are classic Asian customers and know how to negotiate. So after about 5 minutes reasoning, the boss agreed to waive the cost of the remaining food. If you want to gain your skills to live in Korea, this is the best place for training😂🤣😂🤣 ~ Shenjie Z

Had dinner at Mr. Korea and it was such a great experience! The place has a clean and modern vibe with plenty of space between tables, and the ventilation is excellent — no smoky smell at all. We ordered the fried chicken and it was super crispy on the outside and juicy inside — definitely one of the best Korean-style fried chickens I’ve had. The metal serving bowls and presentation felt authentic and neat. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the ordering process was simple. It’s also nice that they have clear instructions on how to enjoy K-BBQ if it’s your first time. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving good Korean food in a comfortable setting. ~ Hai L

I do love a good Korean BBQ. This is our second visit to the restaurant, unfortunately our first one was for lunch and they don't do bbq then, but we still had really tasty food. This time we made sure we come for dinner, and based on how tasty the lunch was, we purposely didn't eat much the whole day before coming. And I got 3 letters to describe our dinner. O.M.G. The wagyu (trust me it is worth ordering it) makes me think that BTS were singing about this restaurant when singing smooth like butter.. A HELL YEAH DEFINITE VISIT. Sorry not too many, as I couldn't stop while eating and ate everything. ~ Akshay T

The dining experience at Mr Korea was excellent! Their meat quality is outstanding, especially the pork belly and beef steak, which were grilled to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavour. Paired with kimchi and their signature dipping sauces, the taste was authentically Korean. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, with an efficient ventilation system that ensures the smoke isn’t overwhelming while grilling. The staff were warm and professional, proactively assisting with grilling and offering thoughtful suggestions. Great service, wonderful food. Staff very helpful. The Tasmanian Pork set was stellar! The new ordering system with a QR code and the restaurant web site might take older customers a little bit of getting used to, but still quite intuitive. The only thing I would suggest is to tell people unfamiliar with this style of restaurant that whatever you order will come out straight away. Customers shouldn't assume that restaurant staff will wait to bring the next course until they're finished the first one...Everything comes out when you order it. A fan of Korean food. From Sydney over here for holidays. In Sydney, I would only eat at two Korean bbq places as I wouldn't want to waste my Korean bbq quota on mediocre food. Travelled to Korea in search for the best Korean bbq and I can say this little Hobart Korean bbq place is definitely up there. It's quality and authentic Korean food. So glad all seafood restaurants in Hobart were all booked out tonight...gave me a chance to try out Korean bbq in Tasmania. 😅😅😅 Exactly what I need on a 10 degrees autumn night in Hobart. ~ Davina W

Dropped in for lunch on a Sunday and we’re really pleased with everything. The staff was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and generously sized and everything was very reasonably priced. We will definitely return as they offer Korean BBQ of an evening. UPDATE: Just had dinner here again and opted for the Wagyu Beef set. Delicious food and excellent service again! Wow 🤩 very surprised! Didn’t think you’d find good Korean food in a suburban town in Sandy Bay. Ordered the Wagyu set plus Wagyu Harimi and the Ox Tongue. All had plenty of marbling and melted in mouth. Service was good and our grills got changed and the waiter was attentive. We also had the Pork Hotpot and that tasted good even had authentic parts of pork inside. Recommended! Book ahead to avoid disappointment. ~ Michael Z

The food alone is worth travelling for, but it's the experience that truly makes this place special. All the barbecue options are incredible. If you're looking for something else, there are a wide variety of other Korean dishes to enjoy. The staff are all extremely kind and helpful, and I've never had to wait on my order very long. We stopped in here for lunch and got the full sized boneless fried chicken with the soy garlic sauce. Omg, it was fantastic. The sauce was plentiful and the serving size was massive, filling the whole plate. It was definitely worth the price. Also worth mentioning is the wonderful woman that served us. Very satisfying. Great service and fresh food. Food came out super quick and was delicious. Our 6yo son was introduced to Korean BBQ and loved every bit of the food. His favourite was the pork and the beef steak. The corn cheese was a absolute winner we had 2 servings of these! Would definitely come back and recommend. Edit 2025 Korean bbq buffet is awesome! So many choices! Definitely worth it! Korean BBQ near our home. High quality food and service. Especially the tasty home made side dishes. Recommend you lunch as well as dinner. Stir fried chicken, pork bone soup, aged pork belly, marinated chicken, and beef short rib or scotch fillet. Thank you Stella! Went here recently and it was definitely a great choice. The staff were personable and willing which really set the tone for our night. The food was excellent - the meat selections did not disappoint and they had generous portion sizes with free top-up of sides. Overall, an awesome K-BBQ experience. ~ Ace M

Absolutely love the food here! Very authentic Korean food - ban chan (unfortunately not free flow), ginseng chicken (so delicious and so soothing) and stir fried beef (abit too sweet but still v nice). Very friendly staff, slotted us in without a reservation. KBBQ place where you do it all yourself. Not how I usually go, but enjoyable. The food was delicious. Got the chicken and the Wagyu beef. Excellent food. One of the best korean BBQ experiences we’ve had in Australia. For an asian restaurant their customer service and care displayed by wait staff is praiseworthy. Good variety of side dishes. Meats are of good quality. They do not have desserts on the menu which would have been a welcomed addition. ~ Shaun E

Great friendly service. Good quality food. Pork Neck/Belly were favourites. Will definitely scratch that Kbbq itch if you find yourself in Hobart. Could have maybe been provided with more sides/free refills of sides as standard with most Kbbq but wasn't a major concern. ~ J
